Stargate: seen the movie... which wasnt that bad at all. The Series have some really good episodes. If you watch closely, the Independence Day ships have the same flight characteristics as the original Death Glider.
Babylon 5: never seen it.
2001: now THAT was boring
Star Wars: i have ALL the DVDs (and the remastered versions in a special limited box version)

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

I remember taking my father-in-law to see it.

I know some people think it's all for real but what's this doing in the History forum anyway? Roll Eyes Tongue

A major piece of motion picture history and next year will be its 30th anniversary. So tis history Grin
I was never really into any other sci-fi stuff. The original Star Trek was okay and 2001 was a good flick but most sci-fi depended more on special effects than say ohh script, story line, acting ability or anything worthwhile....

Actually it was less Star Wars and more my wife having to go on a 3 week course in Germany that led to the Mini-Mod. The hard life of young married couples Grin
So tell me what is your excuse for your two crash-test hooligans Matt? Grin Grin Grin

Then you have missed a real classic. Better than Trek, awesome show. Well all but the last season anyway.

Saw original Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back on VHS;
    I also have the PC game version of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron but, admittedly, Fozzer is probably much more of a rogue than I. Grin

I used to watch portions of Babylon 5 and Stargate at my former jobsite; sorry, although I usually prefer longer hair, Foz, Stargate's Amanda Tapping is more attractive than Star War's Carrie Fisher (and my own hair is nearly the length of Amanda's).

Now that you've mentioned it...
We live in a world that should be devoid of any living species;
on a planet that shouldn't exist;
in a solar system that shouldn't exist;
in a galaxy that shouldn't exist;
in a universe that shouldn't exist;
supposedly all blasted into existance from a big mass of matter from nowhere, in the middle of nowhere --
              WE ARE OUR OWN SCIENCE FICTION!

I saw it seventeen times when the it came out in 1977.  I was seventeen at the time and it cost 75 cents to see a movie.  I have have the first three movies on VHS in three different sets and all six on DVD.  Yes I am a Star Wars Geek and proud of it!! Smiley

I also have an original Millennium Falcon toy from 1977 still in it's sealed box$$$ Wink

Although the movies are worth it every time, I prefer three games from the Star Wars universe over them any time:
Knights Of The Old Republic I + II (taking part even a longer time ago) and Republic Commando (set between Episode 2 & 3 and no Jedis at all in this one).

Saw it at the Ziegfeld the week it premiered in New York... knocked my socks off, and I still think it's a classic.
