FSX Update Patch... (Read 2385 times)

http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/

It's actually old news but I came across the link while cleaning the favorites folder and thought I would pass it along.

Expect the first major patch sometime after the 1st, most likely after January

That is NOT the DX10 update but a patch to address the issues they are aware of, many of which are from the feedback they get.

Nick, once again thanks for the info. Your insight is a great seervice to this community. One thing I do want to add; read the entire blog that Nick has given. It will help make sense the reason why FSX acts the way it does on high end machines and low-end ones.

Nick,  Your input in the forum is in my opinion one of the best, if not the best that I have read yet.  Please continue to use whatever time that you kindly provide to this forum, enlighting myself and others into the features that we might otherwise never have come across.  Again, thank you for your time, knowledge, and patience, especially with those to whom you owe none.  Todd

I concur and would like to add my thanks to Nick.

While I understand that FSX is somewhat ahead of the current hardware and software, I'm appreciative of Nick's suggestions. They have made my machine, and FSX, work better till that time I decide to upgrade both.

This thread has been edited to remove the nonsense that was going on!
Please people, we are now stepping it up and if people continue to be aggressive to other members and sidetrack informative threads with "personal issues", they will be dealt with.

You have all been warned.

Well I've been away a few days for Christmas and come back to find the words 'Ex member' next to Nicks name  Sad

I don't know what was said in the posts but it is a great shame tha we have lost such a valued, informatibe member of this forum, and I hope that the people that caused this to happen sit and think about what they have done. Nick has done nothing but provide all of us with useful infotmation, hints and tips for not only FSX but how to setup your PC to run more efficiently. All of this was done in his own time with his own good will too.

Nick if you read this I would just like to personally thank you for all the information you have put up on these forums as it has all been really helpful and I have always read your threads with great interest as there is no way I would ever of found out most of the information you have posted up. I for one will greatly miss your posts and I am sure there are others but if there were 'keyboard warrior' types being slanderous or whatever was posted I do not blame you for your decision to leave.

All the best
Paul

Don't know anything about a patch, but I am sure one will come out in the near future.......it always happens and usually addresses the more common wide spread complaints or issues being encountered.

As far as Nick goes, guess I got in after the "Nonsense" occured. I too hope Nick comes back, he is definately a valuable asset to have on these boards and involved with Simviation. I only hope that his departure was not caused by some who contribute NOTHING, cause problems and generally post degrading replies to Users. Now that would make Nick leaving even worse.

If that be the case, get rid of them and get Nick back!  Angry Wink

Why did Nick had to be demoted to the rank of "ex-member"? Cry

His insight is the reason why my old-as-ancient-rome computer is able to run with FSX at decent frames.
