Now you guys get to see what FSX can really do

I was wondering when something like this was going to show up.

With DX10 the possibilities of flying a 35mm visual quality simulation over your own house are very real

Better save those pennies!

Wouldn't it be fun when they update google earth that we can be outside our house waving and then we can like hover above our selves!

...&&&&I'm a little twerp who doesn't like to pay attention to the rules about uploading images to SIMV. I've been told how to upload ..... I've actually managed to upload ..... I just choose to ignore the rules and extract the urine out of everyone who follows the rules.

You have to know when they take the next picture.

When I zoom into my apartment building, I can just make out the drill on my deck...
My truck is not out in the lot though.. must have been at work... too bad.

The concept of interfacing FSX and high res google earth images is definately interesting to say the least.

However, wont this ultimately be like satilite scenery with FS9 and be subject to the same problems and/or limitations  like no autogen.

This wiil not be a concern for the high flyers but, for those low and slow flyers, this could be a problems.
It will create a welcomed option however.  Smiley

If this is possible, why didn't microsoft use these textures for FSX to begin with?

Because Microsoft and Google are bitter rivals. And since Google Earth is owned by Google, well, you get the idea. Even if there are other programs besides Google Earth, Microsoft will still have to deal with the legal consiquences of making money off a service made by another company that may or may not like Microsoft.

Because Google Earth has no images in it. It streams them off the internet, AND what Katahu said.

Outstanding for sure. Is this as real as it gets or what? Cheesy

I wonder how it is going to be before this makes it to the market?
