I am not a programmer, so  I was wondering if those with more knowledge could help.  Is there any way that MS could easliy change the code in FS with a patch so that when Vista and DX10 arrive, FSX would  suddenly run much better than on XP?  Being that FSX was supposed to be used as a premier game to illustrate the potential of Vista, isnt MS worried if FSX doesnt look and perform substantially better with Vista?  Other than the speed provide by DX10, how will the Vista architecture improve FSX?  Todd

In your opinion, what will be changed in the code that will make it run more efficiently?  Or will it be the operating system itself that provides the boost?  Todd

MS said that FSX is the flagship for Vista. So in short, yes. Smiley

If MS fails to pull a rabbit out of their hat when VISTA and DX10 are released, I fear thar FSX will go the way of CS3 an it just might cause the demise of MSFS.

As it stands now, MS took way to many steps backwards to take a couple of steps foreward.
