Yup.. and we'll be about half-way to the release of FSXI by then.. and the whole cycle starts over again Wink

edit: I don't see Vista and DX10 and the hardware people and a patched FSX all being on the same page until WELL into 2007.. prob a year from now.

Contrary to my specs below (tried to update my specs many times, but says server not available):

A pentium D duo core 820 (2.8 ghz)
nVidia geForce 6800 Ultra PCIe (256)
3 gigs Kensington pc4200 ram

before I stuck the 3rd stick of ram in, I got FSX to run at a decent clip. With the 3rd stick now it seems to run ok at 20 FPS with fairly high settins. I have to limit clouds and autogen, but as a trade of I can keep commercial ai at 50%, GA at 25%, cars 25% ships and pleasure boats at 10% each.

So FSX runs good enough with the system I have to be enjoyable (for me) - no super computer by any standard.

It must have been expensive for you to get those 3gigs. Grin

I heard about one video card that now has 1gig.

Well I bought it with 1 gig installed. I added another a couple of weeks ago, and the last gig I put in last night. They had them at circuit city on sale for $99.00.

I should also mention that I've put in about 4 dif tweaks I've seen here.
