More UK mesh problems (Read 492 times)

I'm sorry to have to report this. There are so many things to like about FSX that it's a pity it's being let down for us in the UK by these glaring mesh problems.

The Humber Bridge has the same problem as the Dartford Bridge (worse actually) and in fact there's a serious mesh error that extends along quite a length of the river upstream from the bridge itself.

I just checked out the Severn bridges and they were both stunning and the road system in the area (M4, A38 etc) was great with all its moving traffic.

However, flying upstream from Avonmouth to Bristol there are a whole series of serious LWM/mesh errors that badly affect the appearance of the area giving blockages in the river and differences in levels of both adjoining terrain and water.

There does seem to be a problem with the mesh system in the UK which in fairness to UK purchasers needs to be resolved very speeedily in my opinion.

I'm sure there will be a patch available. After dicussing this with a few relatives about the game, I have hypothesis on why the UK area is all altered. It may not be all ture, but it can be something to think about. "What if Microsoft, decided to obtain permesion from UK, in designing the city. UK agrees on the design, but also may explain that they don't want a city which has accurate placement, for such as terriosm etc. So they missplace some of the most famous UK landmark's, terrain and other such geographical buildings."  That's my thinking, why UK has so much erro's related with scenery.  Wink

Yes. That'll be it. Cause the UK is right mean about who it allows to model it. Grin

If I remember well, there are a lot of addons available for UK under FS9 isn't it ? Both Meshes and Landclasses I think... (not sure at the moment...).
Anybody tried to import those addons in FSX ? I think there's a good chance to solve those river issues, and other correlated mesh issues.

EDIT: quite a list in fact  Tongue Check out this page:
http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004/uk.html
Most of the addons are from avsim. Below the list of city-specific sceneries, you'll get another list of addons like meshes, textures, landclasses etc... I'm sure there's a lot of stuff interesting to import in FSX there.
