Hi guys!

Got my fsX today!!! yupiiie!
Install made, let's goo....eerrr.. Tongue...all my textures are blurry, very I must say...I have a 1GB RAM and a GF 7800 256 - is there a way to fix this?
Also, my fps are very poor too, almost all the time its 15 fps and all my slides are just halfway..... Sad
can some1 point some "fixes"??

look around, tweaks are everywhere.  there are some more here, a great site i jsut found : www.fsxmission.com...you gotta register, but its a great site-- sure to be full of helpful stuff.

as for your performance, upgrade that RAM.  with 1gig you are operating at bare minimum standards.

Your FPS should have some qualifiers..

I can get  as low as 10fps at O'hare flying the 747 and 30fps flying the Baron at 12,000 feet.. All with the same settings..

And.. the type of weather makes a difference too..


We oughta come up with a standard for comparison..

You are ABSOLUTELY correct.  The only way that fps comparisons are accuratre is under a controlled situation test where ALL the variables except the core computer are the same.

Good luck though. 

Look back at the fs2004 threads in the early days of that.  I tried VERY hard to set up a system to do just that.  So few people were willing to try what was necessary tro have any meaningful resulte... that I finally gave up.

You might have better luck.
