We're getting these high energy low pressure systems for real now. Copied this METAR from another forum

ENEK 262020Z 24055G72KT 9999 -SHRA BKN018CB 11/07 Q0983 +RERA

24055G72!!! Shocked

Thats a 55kts wind, with gusts up to 72 kts. Grin

Edit: Errr...That one is a norwegian oilplatform. (sweden has ES) Roll Eyes

There are some abysmal weather systems floating around at the moment. It's been particularly bad in Biscay too in the last few days.
