Ahhhh

So they build the product up, take your money....... and then tell you there are actually serious problems with it but that they will support you.

I take it that Nick's last post was really a joke.......

Carry on Nick, you're doing a better job than I could ever have done to make people think twice about buying this product

Good

Then my job here is complete... These people are not stupid, they are smart, can make up their own mind and don’t need me to stand up on a soap box insult the software or the people who designed in order to let them know there are problems that are also in the process of being fixed.

NOTE TO THE FORUM
Don’t buy the software if you are going to pick it apart from end to end and insult everyone in the process... wait until the issues are fixed.

Or you can fly it, enjoy it, make notes in the forums about issues presenting them in a respectable way and THEN enjoy the improvements as they are released.

THATS THE AMERICAN WAY

I hope the rest of the world thinks like that too... According to Roger, the Brittish dont.

They do not know who I am and never will because no one in the corporate office I deal with gives a hoot about forums. My job is completed with the project.

Just out of curiosity, if they don't know who you are, then presumably you can't really know who they are. So what gives you the right to go preaching to us about how they feel and what they're doing etc?

Right.. I don’t have any right. I am sick and tired of coming into this forum and watching people who are clueless make statements

There were discussions about the situation and what was going on behind the scenes for months. The information I received was from a different level who was directly involved and responsible the situation. My job was to make suggestions as to changes so it could be looked at from more than the developer’s point of view and/or people who were personally/emotionally involved with their work.

That’s how decisions and influences are made as to what stays, what goes, what gets changed and what doesn’t.

I would not post something like that if it was not relevant nor had a direct and accurate impact on the subject matter.

Now, I hung around to complete this round of forum tag however I must catch the next ferry to Seattle.

Later

My head's spinning with this.

Let's talk about tdragger. How were we to know what his motives were - he didn't say.

We suspected the product was being blown up - it was - and there were problems with it - there were.

So how were we at fault? Because we had the cheek to say so?

MS intended to do what they subsequently did, which was get the dang product to market, warts and all, by the Autumn to get the Xmas sales. We now know that was so from our friend Nick (who was a Beta tester BTW and has close links with MS so he's not biased in any way, shape or form).

Are we to be blamed as a result, for using the product we have bought and finding the faults that the developers knew were there? We can hardly have missed them after all .....

OMG the world is being stood on its head - the purchasers are to blame for pointing out the problems with the product!

Oh yeah, and we keep being told that we are not polite enough.

Give me strength. Such arrogance. Look. I treat anyone who takes my money under false pretences as a crook and I am not very polite to them. But let's put it slightly differently. Don't want to offend anyone's sensibilities after all do we.

It doesn't matter who says there's an elephant in the room or how they say it if there is a dang elephant there!

There are problems - several. And Bindoe old friend, it's not just me saying it now. Nick has said that the developers acknowledge there are problems and he himself advised that the product should have been held back for further development work.

And just to finish, I'm fed up with people putting words in my mouth and saying what I think about it. I repeat what I said in my message to Nick:

"But if you care to read the posting that started it all off, it didn't refer to the 'software' - it referred to the level of detail in one area and the heading was totally valid."

I also repeat what I said in a posting a short while ago:

"Now we need to move on and use this as an opportunity to make this into the great piece of software that it was always intended to be"

I am done with all this now. When people start to dissect postings and quote words and lines totally out of context to justify themselves, the thread really has moved into a fag end.

See you round the forum.

OK - as it's been requested to move on - let's call this thread done.

I would just like to say it would be wrong to prevent people expressing their views or to challenge the strength of their emotions.

At the end of the day any views expressed here will be the tip of an iceberg of opinion out in the big wide world.

& also remember that 99.999% of users are not tech minded folk - they are just people with big lives into which they want to fit in a little bit of hassle free FS fun.

Think Global. It's the world we live in.
