You lucky little (&*)$(* Angry I havent even seen a DC-3 fly, but youve seen a DC-2 fly!!!!

Umm, I dont know.  Ive seen lots of planes, just I dont know how rare any of them are.  Maybe Ill see some rare planes today, going to the airshow...

I used to see Daks all the time, courtesy of the Dutch Dakota association. Holland is very active in the vintage passenger plane department. besides the DC-3's we also have the worlds only flying DC-2 and Europe's only Constelation ( will be flying again next year) + the worlds oldest flying Fokker F-27, Also the Vintage register is growing, I think we now have two P-51's and an AN-2 and AFAIK a dutch yak group is also Trying to obtain a flying Yak-9... exciting stuff! And another interesting thing is the Historic Jet Association which is going to do airshows in Fouga Magisters ( I think they have 4)

Another one I'd like to mention is the DDA DC-4.. I've seen her many times in the past but One occasion stands out from the others. I was on my way back to school and I heard the engines. I stopped and looked up and there she was, about 30 feet high on Approach to Valkenburg NAS!!! The sound was incredible! Hopefully she'll return to the DDA... would be nice to hav a Formation af the DC-2,3 and 4  Grin

Also I've seen The DBAF B-25J do stuff you wouldn't imagine that a B-25 could do that! Again at Valkenburg NAS. After that the Local Orions did a three way split! T'was a nice day!

Might not be the most unique stuff but still very nice!

We had an An-2 based at my local airport (N85) for a while. Dissapeared a few years ago and I'm not quite sure what happened to it. Sad really because that's the plane the sparked my interest in aviation. Smiley

Edit-also saw the a Polish Air Force Tu-154 the other week at Giants Stadium.

I really don't know.
I suppose most of the stuff you see in museums are rare.
I suppose the rarest I have seen flying will have been a Concorde a few years back when it made a trip to leeds bradford, and a load of other stuff that you see at airshows like the Sea Vixen etc.

Rarest thing I've seen is probably a Tu-154 when we had landed at LPFR for a holiday...funny thing was, 2 weeks later on departure, it was still there Cheesy
And also the "usual" rare stuff, like the BBMF etc....I've probably seen more rare things, just can't remember them Roll Eyes

Crap, I was going to an airshow today (Richmond RAAF)... only problem was it was 1 hour and 11 minutes away from where I live... so I missed it.  Angry The RAAF was displaying their new C-17s!  Angry And the USAF had a KC-135 there! I've also seen a couple of KC-10s flying in to YSSY why from time to time. Seen the A380.  Roll Eyes all the 10yr olds there thought that it would be "really loud" because of its size. lol. Ive had an Adagold Il-76 fly over my school.  Grin

No need to worry. The first RAAF C-17 hadn't flown as of 10 days ago, and the C-17 at the show is a USAF one - seemingly a reasonably regular visitor. Smiley

Excluding museums,

I haven't seen anything rare. Probably Il-76.

I've seen An-124s landing several times. They are loud as hell. Even though much more Il-76s were produced than An-124s, it is much more common to see an An-124 in North America than Il-76.

I get excited when I see a 727. Grin
