O.K., this is getting serious . . . no more Mr. Niceguy!

1.) I parked my Mooney beside Rod Stewart's Viscount at Boeing Field, KBFI (video-to-prove-it)

2.) I parked my Mooney at the same FBO as Willie Nelson's jet in Vancouver CYVR (no video)

I got to see the Mooney, N312TN, that was on the cover of the August '06 Flying magazine up close and personal. It landed at our local airport for fuel. The pilot said they went a few knots faster than even mentioned in the article. Then, I went flying around the patch in a Maule and got to watch N312TN take off and fly under me.

A couple years previously, I got to climb aboard a Piaggio Avanti, same deal stopped for fuel. I got my picture taken in front of it, like it was mine or something!

I got to climb around a B-25 once.

Not sure whether this is technically rare BUT, I have flown on both 9M-MPD, and 9M-MPB. The ONLY two 747's in the Malaysia airlines hybiscus scheme. Also, I saw Roman Abromovitches 767 'Bandit' on the ground in Lyon-St. Expury in France, while he was skiing (at the same resort as me I may add!) Also seen a 747SP at Heathrow, and flown on the first A320 off the production line  Grin

So not rare in the same sense as many of the aircraft you guys have seen but still, I felt left out  Grin Grin Tongue

Cheers,
Alex

EDIT: And concorde Grin

For your US guys an Iran Air Airbus is rare... we got these a few times a week at Schiphol.

DC-3s ARE NOT RARE!

But Li-2's are (takes a trained eye to keep them apart, especially when the Li-2 has normal cowlings mounted)

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

I love VFR around Rio de Janeiro.  I got a d/l from the files section that really enhanced the Rio de Janeiro scenery.  I'd like to visit Rio one day.

I saw the Spruce Goose in its museum as I went by on my way to Toledo, Oregon a few years back. I think it's a rare airplane. They only made one, right?
