San Marino isn't gone yet. They have a paper deadline of december to get back on the calender. All depends on how quickly they get the refurb done. As long as they don't hire the wembley contractors, who knows? Grin

Ahhh, so that's the real reason why the German's have only got one GP next year! Wink Grin

As for San Marino, shame that's gone...

It will be interesting to be in Germany when next seasons F1 starts. The German fan is very fickle and changes allegiance to who ever is winning very quickly. I predict that after the first couple of races, "Michael who?“ It was always fun to read the paper when Ferrari had a few technical problems back in the early days, Michael had very few fans then and only when Ferrari became reliable did the fan base swell.

Michaels fan base has never really been small, maybe during the phase between him starting his first GP and finishing it (yes about 20 minutes...) then i would consider it to have swelled dramatically. The guy was an instant hit and displayed his amazing talent out-of-the-box.

I remember at hockenheim '94, his fans actually blockaded the circuit with logs from the surrounding forest until the FIA allowed michael to race (this was with Benneton remember, the pre-ferrari days...)
Fans threatened to set the blockades on fire to destroy the circuit if schumi couldnt race.

In the end, schumi didnt race. Benneton had the choice of accepting his one race ban or appealing, allowing him to race in germany but likely face a 3-race ban afterwards.
