Hi all..with the recent additino to the grage of my old 65 mercury comet I'm in need of a decent forum or any useful sites in the rebuilding, set-up, tune-up, general maintenance of the ole 289 V-8n engine that I'm running in it..

Now that brings back memories..
Do you remember the Mercury Capri, circa 1974 .. not a Mustang II knock-off.. it was made in Europe, I believe.. came with that nifty 2.3L OHC 4cyl (that was later to be the Engine that Formula Ford was built around)..
ANYWAY.. I had a friend who stuffed a 289 into one of those.. to battle his rival.. who had one of those Chevy Monza Mirages (came from the factory with a 305)..
He did magical things with that 289.. I'll see if I can get ahold of him..

I would just for an online forum and see what anyone there has to say. I'm sure there are a lot of guys out there running 289s because that was the V8 in early Mustangs.
You could try somewhere like here:
http://www.fordforum.com/
.
I haven't actually looked at much there (I feel kind of dirty looking at a Ford message board), but its a start.
