Hi guys,
This is really weird...I don't know where to put this...I was gone to do some grocery shopping yesterday when I came back from school...My mom was at home and supposedly, I received a package...Well, my mom thought it was something my dad or I had ordered...so she signed it off...When I came back, my mom asked me if we (my dad and I) had ordered anything...I said no and my dad said the same when we called him...So, out of curiosity, I opened the package...What's weird is that it came packaged with a game...one that I've never even heard of...Something called GTR2...I opened the case and there was a shiny, very new and original CD containing a game (supposedly)...Now, that CD is still on my table...I'm to scared to install it...LOL...Don't wanna ruin my computer...It did however come with a note that translated something like "Congratulations! You've a Free Copy of a game. Thanks for buying at **** (name hidden intentionally)". I'm guessing it must some kind of prize or something I won...I then went to the site of the game...and it didn't specify any release dates...I went to Amazon and there it said that it was released on the 15 of September...That was yesterday... Shocked

See Amazon.com

Now, my question is...should I insert the CD...and see if it installs fine or should I trash it in fear of something wrong going on... ??? ??? ???

Mind, checking out the site, the game looks very, very cool... Shocked Shocked

The graphics are beautiful...

Go over to a so-so freind's and say "Hey, check out this cool game I just got". Pop it in his machine and check it out. If after a few days he doesn't call to say "Your game killed my computer!" then install it on your your computer and have fun.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Shocked You got a free copy of GTR2 already!?  It's not even out yet here in the US, at least for a couple more days.  I wouldn't be worried about it at all really, it's one of the most anticipated racing games of this year, and it's very popular as far as I know.

lol.... Hmmm looks like a great game, I'd just install it, just make sure I had my recovery disk or software handy, and just in case, put it in your rom drive and Click explore and see if its authentic..... Cheers, Gunny

If your that concerned insert the CD and stop it from auto running, then use your anti/virus and spyware programs and scan the disc.
