For some reason, I can't here any sound when I play .avi videos. I've installed all codecs and I can't hear any sound. Also, if I restart my computer, the sound comes back. It's weird I know...What shall I do? ??? ???

EDIT: All other sounds work. I can play music and all the windows sounds work. It's just .avi videos. I've tried Windows Media Player, RealPlayer and VLC Player.

Sounds like some kind of corruption in the avi file causing the sound to shutdown. When you start the video playing pause it and then check the sound settings in your PCs internal Windows settings and see if perhaps it is minimising the sound. Also try muting the sound and the bringing it back up to full. Sometimes this works.
Failing that I'd switch to BS Player.... tis the best Wink

try playing another avi file, see if that works. if it does it is a problem on the file, if it doesin't, then the problems on your end. thats all i can say

Isnt it funny you will have absolutly no trouble out of a piece of hardware until they release a driver?
