Wow, this is week 20 of our tour. Weve spent more than 5 months on this, and we've barely even seen South America. The flight plan is roughly complete, we will be flying along the northern part of the continent and then we will follow the Amazon over to Ecuador, then go through Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay into Brazil before heading south through Uruguay, Argentina, and then finally going down the west coast of Chile. It will be at least another 10,000 nautical miles and many more months of fun!
Anyways, onto tonights info:
On September 2nd 2006 starting at 9pm eastern daylight time we shall strive to complete the 20th hop of our trip down in South America!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Route between SVMI (CARACAS, VENEZUELA) and SVCU (CUMANÁ, VENEZUELA):
Distance along great circle: 194.5 statute miles, 169.0 nautical miles, 312.9 kilometers
Initial true great circle heading: 92.8 degrees (east)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you plan on flying something besides a default plane, please feel free to post which one so that others may be able to pick it up before the flight, and if you decide on using payware please be kind enough to first load in a default plane that is similar in size and then load up your chosen plane.
Tonight I will be flying Bill Lyon's fantastic PA-22 Tripacer. I would suggest you fly the same, but if you dont want to download it the default Cessna 172, 182, or similar should do the trick.
Teamspeak for the flight is hosted by our gracious member Sam and more information about conencting there can be found at the following address:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Multi;action=displ
ay;num=1129930528
As Jared hosts the flight server on his pc and the ip address for his network is done dynamically through his ISP he will announce the ip address by about 7pm tonight.
For general questions please refer to the general question thread:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Multi;action=displ
ay;num=1123882151
As always I would love to encourage all who have flown with us in the past, and anyone else to join us at any point during the flight or the tour itself.
Happy flying!
Jake
