i really like the plane and the sky but i would have liked to see something else in the background, like if there was a break in the clouds, we could see the ground, or something like that...

I like the sky, maybe you should use a slightly more contrasting paint?

Im a fan of sky shots with just clouds but i dont think they will ever make it too the gallery as they are just too 1 dimentional Smiley

Crisp image! Cool plane; very interesting model (I've never seen it before; what is it? A Saab?) and the sky is nice too but I would like to see more drama and maybe a little more exiting livery ...

Exellent!
My only suggestion, is that try not to have to many clouds blocking the view of the ground Wink perhaps some scenery would be good.

I agree with the last comment, a bit of scenery might have made the shot more interesting. If you're not creating a huge panoramic sky which can hold the pic on its own, ground texture and autogen can go a long way in holding a viewers interest.  Smiley

The shot seems a bit too miserable and gloomy to me, it is nice and good quality I will give you that, however the grey aircraft with the grey background doesn't seem to work too well.  Maybe try this shot with some AI, water in view, dawn or dusk with slightly less clouds?  It would look much better.
Nevertheless, good shot.

A "No" for a few of the same reason's I posted in Soui's shot thread. I'll copy and paste some here:

"First, a good rule of thumb when setting up a shot is not to cut off pieces of the plane, in this case the right wing tip. I see this done too many times, and it always ruins an otherwise excellent shot. Of course, this does not apply for close-up shots, but this is not one, and the entire plane is trying to be shown. "

There is too much dead space below the plane. Quickest way to solve this is to crop the some of the bottom off, but not too much; you still want the plane to "breath". Another way is simply to choose a different angle. In this shot, the plane is in more of a horizontal plane, and would benefit from more space to the sides and less on the top and bottom. If you have an angle where parts of the plane extend up and down, then it would fit perfectly in a "squarish" frame. This has always been a challenge in shot making because we dont have extremely wideview monitors to take shot from! Wink

Also, while the plane is an interesting subject, the background is totally un-flattering, since they're the same basic color. The plane just blends in too well. A different plane or a different time/place would help contrast the main subject (the plane) from the background. Like someone else said, all that gray is pretty gloomy.  Shocked

Hope you don't mind the critique!  Smiley

Literally less than 15 sec in Microsoft Photo Manager, the program that comes with office produced this. Even the most basic photo programs have crop tools and brightness/contrast/saturation tools. If you're doing something "special" with a shot (i.e. trying to get it entered in a gallery) fiddle around with some of these tools and you'll get the hang of it, and the eye for it quicker than you think.  Wink
