I've just loaded my copy of WoP WW11 Fighters and all I can say is WoW Shocked Grin Tongue

Shockwave Productions have produced a real gem here.

I'm thinking maybe with FSX there maybe some way to have a Combat sim add on as we already have the planes etc from Shockwave.

Now wouldn't that be great.
All the great stuff in the FS series and all the excitment from the Combat sim series.

You could have full access to all the aircraft systems etc , navigation the lot  (maybe even a little bit of data extraction for a wee bit of motion platform and cockpit gauges building etc  Wink)

I live in hope. Cheesy

cheers

Well yes. It's for FS9.
Although quite why people spend so much time making combat aircraft add-ons for FS9, beats the sh** out of me. They're very pretty, but they're about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Combat aircraft were meant for combat, not for poncing around in FS9 admiring the scenery.

The WOP 2 fighters will also work with FSX as is listed on the box.

So if FSX ever has some type of combat SDK made for it then there  the WOP planes are ready to go.

Yes they made FIREPOWER which works with CFS3. Then they stopped supporting it.
The speed gauge in their B-17 doesn't work, but they don't care.
The B-29 needs serious lateral thinking to get off the ground, because if you apply brakes, it digs into the tarmac and won't move.

They made WINGS OF POWER which is virtually the same FIREPOWER planes, but for FS9.

To rake over the old coals, I have to say that the reluctance of third parties to make stuff for CFS3, just proves what we all said about Microsoft's big mistake in allowing CFS3 to sever all connections with previous M$ combat flight sims.

If it wasn't for the AV History boys and a handful of others, then you'd know CFS3 was dead in the water.

Then all I can say is thanks to MAW, OFF and all the others doing work for CFS3.

The step from CFS2 to CFS3 needed to be made as the old game engine was getting old. It's a pity now that M$ won't dare make a similar leap with the FS series.
