Whoa, now that's a shot with an elongated perspective!
Same pic, less distorted aircraft it's a killer. Superb sky Mic.  Smiley

I think that this is a great sort of "abstract" picture.  The clouds are amazing and I happen to like the distortion of the plane.  Its different, but excellent, kind of shot.

Getting a more realistic angle on the pane when zooming out to the max to enhance the "earth view" has always been a big problem. If anyone has a solution, would be great to hear about. (Zoomed out on max and aircraft close but not distorted).

What I always do it use the F1 View Module.

I press '-' untill it will not go any further and then use my mouse wheel to 'reel' the plane in ... try that.

I was going for the abstract kind of look here....but I agree that the camera being close to the plane would have improved it.

Beautiful pic, but fish eye killed it. Said no.

BTW is there a second craft in this pic?
Whats that under the right wing near the fuselage? Some kind of drone?

No, no, no.... U shudnt give up!
If your surreal pics are not liked that just means you have to improve in general! Keep practising the preferred techniques or try some radical new ones! You are bound to get better on those types of shots. Besides I ahve seen a good set from you...

I agree with Mouse that you should not give up trying surreal pics! PLease post as many as you like! Although your B-52 may not be 'Gallery material' I really think it's a beauty ... only not the best I've seen from you ...

WAY overdone on the stretch.  Sometimes I find that a slight fisheye can look amazing, emphasizing the plane.  If you've seen my screenshots (im sure you have) you might have noticed that I stretch a few of them to make the plane look more agressive or bigger.  But in this shot you just made the plane look goofy, which should be avoided.  Also I think that the shot would be better from the nose simply because the B-52 is pretty ugly from the back.
