They got a bit smarter since FS9 and incorporated a set of settings which will allow much better control of the rendering engine.

it might be just me but, THERE´S NO SUCH FILE AS FSX.CFG Shocked

If you have the demo installed,,, its:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR ACCOUNT NAME\Application Data\Microsoft\FSXDemo\fsx.cfg

make sure hidden files and folders is disabled

I've seen the file. It's in the usual place as FS9's *.cfg file.

Unfortunately, the fix doesn't apply to the demo, as the line you have to alter doesn't exist in the demo's cfg file. Presumably it is in the latest build though.
