And what if a particular addon is not available elsewhere? Wink

Then you download it from the fileplanet website if its free, if not you wait the extra month and a half or so till fsx is released and save your $16 towards some decent payware, rather than something crummy thatll be outdated in no time

I wish I had your optimism Katahu,  Grin

Seriously though, Simviation is widely accepted as THE blogspot / place for the flight sim community. Surely the 'public beta' should have been here ?

Somehow I don't see the goodfellows who run this site charging us a single cent for the download. Or maybe it's because  Simviation will not close it's doors on unbiassed and fair observations.

In other words, come on microsoft if YOU have the confidence in your product and want us to have that same confidence....Let us see it !! Don't poke it away on some relatively unknown site where it will cost us $16 to get it.

Work with us, we can help you.

That's like someone who's never traveled outside his hometown saying that such-and-such cafe has the best cup of coffee in the world...  Grin

Simviation may be "widely accepted" by the members as being "numero uno," but that same claim is made by members of a dozen other flightsim websites... Wink

I've found much of great value everywhere I read regularly...  8)

Ya, SimV is by far MY favorite forum, but no flight sim site is actually number 1, they all have their own special way of doing things that makes them, um, them

Hi Jake.

Precisely, a strength of this site in particular: Post a differing opinion on some other sites and see what happens.

In-fact, sign up and get crucified for asking a simple question, oops! did I say x-plane? silly me. Embarrassed (sorry mod couldn't resist, won't do it again)

This is the only site I know associated with our interests where we can disagree, argue, moan and to my knowledge few ever get booted. This pays off since nearly always everyone respects each other's right to an opinion.

Hence, I think this would be an excellent site to host the beta. At least feedback from us is the raw truth, nothing glossed over.

Agreed. And on top of that, we know how to argue without starting a flame war. Wink Grin

I was reading it out loud and it was quite a mouthful to read it out loud. So many terms and confusing words. Grin

So noted - again - in your dossier.  The padded cell is always ready - where no one can hear you scream when you are forced to fly FS2 on an IBMPCjr with a
"Gorilla Green"  monitor.

Did I mention that the padded room has Teletubbies fabric?
