On the welcome menu of FS9, theres a link that says "Multiplayer", click that. Then put in the IP in for the session you will be connecting to (85.10.244.109 for SimV server), fill out the Callsign box with whatever name you want, and click the "Search" button. Once the game shows up, highlight it by clicking on it, click "Join", and you are in !

You can make the chatbox show up in the game by going to the "Flights" menu at the top (considering you play the game in a windowed version, if not press "Alt" on the keyboard to get the top menus to show up), then go down to "Multiplayer" and click "Chatbox" (or something of that nature, its been awhile).

Hope this helps!

If you look on the right side of the chatbox, it should list all the pilots in there. If there isnt anybody flying it will just show up you, and the server. If there are other people flying you can type "?where" in the chatbox to see where they are !

If you have anymore questions I'll try to answer them for you, but I'm not the greatest at explaining things well Wink

Any time would like to go on line to play Multiplayer, log on to it and it will tell you who, if anyone, is on line, their names, and whereabouts they are, etc, etc....

If there is no one there, then there is no one on line, and you are on your own.... Wink...!

When you are connected and flying, just press "Enter" and the Chat Window will pop up showing you who is there, and is ready for you to talk to whoever may be on line.

Hi ALROT....!

Do what I do if you want to chat now and again, and you are on a long flight....

I set my heading on the Heading bug, and my altitude on my Bendix-King radios, switch on the Auto-Pilot, and the plane will then fly by itself while you type in the Chat Window... Wink...!

It's what I do in my Beech Baron during Jimbo's Tours... Wink...!

Try it first in a small General Aviation aeroplane, fitted with simple radios containing an Auto-Pilot rather than a large, complex passenger jet.... Wink...!

A default Cessna 172/182 will be ideal.

REMEMBER!....only use DEFAULT AIRCRAFT!....non-default ones will not appear to other fliers during the flight...trust me... Angry...!

Cheers ALROT...looking forward to flying with you... Grin...!
