$360 is not alot of money for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  10 years from now, you'll forget all about that $360, but you'll take memories of flying in a B17 to your grave.

Precisely. That is probably the most compelling reason so far... not that the others weren't helpful- thanks, everybody.

BTW,  I went ahead and did it. Grin
Not confirmed yet, but I opened my piggy bank for them, for a flight Saturday. Grin

Aside from just deserving a special treat, I know I will benefit as a pilot from this. I need some fun inspiration before roilling up my sleeves to tackle the IR.

Check it out- I think it should be worth every penny. Smiley

I'm hoping to not "shoot first, experience later" too much on this flight, but oh yes, there will be pictures. Grin
Just wish I had a wide-angle lens (for interior shots)... hmmm... maybe I can find one in the city Friday... what's another $120...

Good one. Forget the camera & enjoy the experience. Photos are all very well but your best memories will be in your head.

Hope the weather cooperates. Wink

Your right.  Just enjoy the flight and get to as many of the post as you can.  Having the camera and taking alot of photo's will take away from the experience and that why your going up in it.  To experience what the flight crews felt sixty some years ago.

  Still green with envy!!!! Smiley

    Enjoy the experience!!!! Smiley

Or keep the camera to one side, just shooting blindly out of a window, or at the flight deck. That way, you don't have a camera held up to your face for the whole time! Smiley

Could be close. As the time approaches, Sunday's already looking like a bust, and Saturday afternoon may not be so hot, either.
I haven't received confirmation yet, either...
But if worse comes to worst, it'll be in Philadelphia the following weekend, so I may be able to get my ride then.  Grin

Nope. I asked- they said I'd have to cut off your head and sew it to my shoulder, a la Ray Milland and Rosie Grier in The Thing With Two Heads.
