You know guys. What I have realize the last few days is that most of us do like to fly night missions. Very few missions that I have down loaded included night missions. I my self have created very few night missions to fly with. The reason is I believe is that night missions are just to dark. Its almost impossible to fly with CFS2 in night missions due to it been darker than any other Sim and you are unable to see any land marks or any visual marking at all. In the real World there are very few night that are dark enough for one to experience total darkness like you do through CFS2 in night missions.

Well I found a way to fly night missions and still have experience of having to fly through your instruments in night missions. Its simple!

Just download Stiz textures or other textures as the original do not reflect light that well and increase the brightness of your monitor and will see the diferrence. One should use this wisely. Other wise you will demean the experience of flying in the night.

Remember! you do not become a real pilot untill you fly in night missions or in bad weather.

If you make it to bright you will bee robbing your self from that wonderful experience.

You need to know your cockpit instruments well as they are essential to be able to fly succefuly in the night.

Good luck and good flying!

Righard its nice hearing from you. Yes, I agree with you that night flying is a lot of fun. If you brighten your Monitor a little bit, it might make it even more fun. Now you tell where did you get a scenery that has moving vehicles. Now thats new to me. Witch scenery did you down loaded that has moving vehicles and where did get it. I would like to now.

You now this would be fun. If there would be a scenery with cities with light turn on.Where they would turn off as the Bomber would be approaching.

Perhaps a patch that will enable you to do this with any city in the Sim so we can chose any city in the World with this effect. Now that would a great enhancement to this Sim.

Now you could bomb Berlin or Tokyo and see the City turn from lights to total darkness. We also need better Searlights and a good tarket flare as a weapon for the tarket marker plane in front of the Bomber formation.

Better long lasting city fire for those incendiary bombing run. Like the ones over Hamber and Tokyo in 1942 and 1945.

You got to remember no one dies in this or any other Sim. So we are dealing on the exciting part of the war with out ever hurting anyone.

Richarduk keep your eyes on the cockpit instruments and make it back to your base.

Hi james. The scenery is CFS2europeii scenery.I dont remember where I got it but it gives the effect of cars with lights on travelling the roads at night. As for search lights I use the ones that came with the Dam Busters add on pack. They are very good as is the flak.Leave me a message and I will try to email them to you.Richard.

PS If you can get the urban blocks over at SOH.They make a great city to bomb.

I believe the CFS2europeii scenery is merely the FS2000 ground textures.

As for flying at night, you are not a truely skilled pilot intill you have performed a carrier landing at night. It's not impossible, you've just got to go slow and do exactly what the LSO tells you. Grin

Woodlouse2002 you are right. Night carrier landing is where you become a real fighter pilot. Thats probably the hardest thing to do as a pilot even by todays standart.

Richarduk please E-mail them to me. I will apreciate it very much.

I have been to SOH many times. Its one of my favorite sites and I have not seen the urban Block set yet. Has it been uploaded recently.

Thanks

Urban blocks are on the way james.Woodlouse is correct about the scenery being FS2000 but it has an airfield pack for england, scotland, wales and most of the islands with roads and moving lights after dark. Its quite effective in dense scenery mood.Enjoy.Richard.
