This is my first try to enter a pic into our Gallery. Please consider only the screenshot, if you don't feel it's worthy, say so.  Smiley

To be honest Danny, I've seen you do better. This particular shot is really nice but it lacks 'Key Light'. I really like the Fil Light (yes, I've read eno's tutorial Grin) in the background but you should've put the plane in the spotlights too ... a Tomcat deserves better!

And I think your sky is downright stunning!!

Hmmm...was this shot edited in any way? The proportions and lighting seem alittle off...*

I really like that Tomcat against the orange sky, but could do away with the houses on the ground tho Wink

The Sky settings and the aircraft are stunning, but I think there is too much autogen on show in my opinion

I also think it's not your best.....The sky and ground are stunning but i think with so many lights on the ground they draw your eye away from the Plane, so maybe some extra lighting is required on the plane. Also try and use a more unique angle perhaps with recorder which doesnt centre the plane, this will really help it in my opinion

just a couple of Ideas.

I agree about the lighting in this shot. It is the main fault of this shot. The lit ground textures are really what throw me off. Other than that its a really nice display of autogen. However the lighting in the lower portion of the pic kind of overwelms the rest of it as the others were saying. Catches and holds your eyes there instead of on the bird and the whole pic in general.
On the up side. Its a stunning evening sky and the lights being off on the cat give the shot a feeling of a covert night run soon to come.

Good.
But I don't like the ground nor the clouds.

Perhaps have the F14 flying low over an aircraft carrier with the clouds alittle higher so you can see underneath them?

The main tghing I sse wrong with this pic are that there are no lights on the Tommy as in navigational lights or pherhaps a nice flaming afterburner..

But the thing which annoys me the most are the ground textures in front.. or basically the mysterious patches of light on the ground that fs gives us... By tilting the viewpoint a bit more to the ground you can eliminate the textures in front and actually use the rest of them to give the city a very crowded feeling.. I took the liberty of illustrating my point by means of cutting of a section from the bottom...

...

Hope you don't mind

Great advice Soui and thanks everyone for your informative feedback, all taken in the true sense of the Studio..as a screenshot learning experience.  I agree, the mysterious light patches are really annoying and traditionally I avoid them like the plague.. Smiley
