I have downloaded the friggin´file twice, once from M$, and the other time from FileFront. And, twice, when uncompressing I get the message that the file is corrupt, both times when unpacking the first big .cab file. I tried using both winzip and winrar. Any ideas what might be happening? Please, help!!!  Sad  Sad

I don't quite understand. The file is a self-installing EXE. Double-click on it to run the setup program. You shouldn't need to unzip anything.

Yeah, that´s right. But, if you see the proccess, the file is actually a self extracting zip file. First it uncompress and then (I guess  Wink ) it installs the sim. Againd, the same problem with both files. Could it be related to my using XP64????

Sorry, you're quite right but it should all extract automatically when you double-click on the EXE file. Mine used WinZip to extract the files as I have it installed but I believe it will use the Windows Installer by default. Read this thread. http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=FSX;action=display;num=115...

I don't know anything about XP64.

Thanks for the responses, Hagar.

I read the thread you gave me, but it refers to a problem with windows installer. The friggin thing does not get to that point yet. It starts unpacking the files and then it halts.  I guess that I should just give up. I mean, It´s 3 and a half friggin hours for each download, and the thought of downloading it again.... DAMN! I wanted to try that thing...  Sad

Right, I was afraid of that. Maybe someone else can suggest something.
