I leave these as a surprise, let me say it makes you feal all warm inside when the demo starts

Ok so heres my experience, i gotta go to a lesson soon thats why i got off  Grin  Ok first the OPTIONS!!! OMG theres so many of them!!! developers are going to go MAD! The settings for ground ect. is FANTASTIC. Cars EVRYWHERE even on the airport vehicles on the runway moveing!  ATC from you is the same but from the tower its MUCH smoother. Scenery isnt much yet but i havent had a chance to pump it up. Even on ok settings i got GREAT frames only a few laggy moments when i was panning around. Oh and the views... MAN its so just WOW its hard to decribe. I gotta go now but WOW.

I'm puzzled... The demo requires SP2..which I am installing..
Will the full version force  XP SP2 as a requirement or not??

(I previously didn't want to install SP2,but I gave up and am going to install it.The benefits outweigh the negatives..
Shocked )

You can try it and perhaps the installer will glitch and allow it but its not suppose to because of certain updated files

If that's all you worry about then you shouldn't have a problem since you can always get back those settings by readjusting the desktop setting to the way you like it. I had no problem with SP2 for as long as it updates my computer.

I wish it was that simple. With SP2, it keeps reverting back to "visual styles" which I hate.
I have to exit out of "visual styles" evey time I boot with SP2.
I have tried multiple installs on different sytems with the same result with SP2

However, I wiil probably install SP2 anyway for the demo.
Besides, MS has already announced that you  will soon need SP2 to access the XP updates.

So, we will all need SP2 soon, like it or not.

Have you tried installing SP2 and then the additionnal corrections ?
My laptop was bought with WinXP SP2 directly, and I had no problems at all...
I was told some applications may have trouble with SP2, but so far everything always work perfect on my laptop, I could not complain for now...

OK...
I bit the bullet and installed SP2 via the XP updates and so far, everything is OK. My desktop settings are intact with  no "visual styles".  Smiley

Previously, I always used the SP2 CD from MS to install SP2 and evidently, that caused the problems.

I also installed the demo and ran it briefly. I like what I saw so far and now it's time to get some sleep! Grin
