I am designing a scenery package.

I used EOD to design alot of the Buildings, and other objects.

Now I findout that API's are undesirable.

Is there a way to convert API's into a format that can be
used by either FSSC, or ObPlacer XML?

Thanks

Hi Gerry. You can import API macros into FSSC (or Airport for Windows).

that is what I did, however, i have since read that API macro's are not Frame Rate Friendly.

this package is BIG, in excess of 30 megs and I am only
about 45% complete.

I would like to convert my API's to XML or BGL so that the frame rate doesn't put people off.

Sorry Gerry, but I am not sure you can.  I have seen many enquiries about this on the various sites and can't remember a solition yet (I maybe wrong ???).

This is one of the reasons I bit the bullet and moved to Gmax to create scenery objects in xml format.

Probably not the news you want.

I have to go along with Brittair I do not think you will find any thing that will do what you want. I know GMAX is a daunting project but it is the way to go here. There are two good books for GMAX one called the GMAX BIBLE and the other I think is called the GMAX HANDBOOK niether one is cheap runing around 35 or 40 dollars if memory serves me correct. Both come with a CD and tutorials, I think that the handbook is more expensive But I really can not rember you will more than likely have to order them as I could not find them any where. 8)

I've used EOD and Airport for years and never had a fps problem with API's. The WORST problems i've had are static aircraft made from flyable aircraft. I use fps friendly AI instead.
