That's one of the noticable features of FSX. Obviously there is an option to disable the tranparencies. Otherwise, it would be stupid to have just a permenantly transparent panel and no option to disable it.

Finally. An FS where you can see more than 50% of where ur going in the 'normal panel' cockpit. Thank you Microsoft!

They are going the right way. Let's hope in the next version they set the 2D panel to be 100% transparent, you know, completely invisible
