A fellow a few miles up the road recently rebuilt one of the Lotus 56 turbine cars from the '68 Indy 500. He replaced the original PT6 Pratt & Whitney engine and installed an Allison 250-C20 from a Jetranger. At his website he has some short vids of himself driving the thing on the streets of nearby Danville, where his business is located. He also has a Howmet Turbine car and a Foyt Coyote #14.

Replacing a P&W for an Allison is never a good idea

It may be fast but it sure as hell is ugly, and I bet it doesn't corner all that well.
I'd go for a Yamaha R1 anyday.
