I seen on another FS sight that microsoft is dileberetly making the flight dynamics "unrealistic" and taking the training part out of the simulator because terrorists might be using it to train themselves. I hope this isn't true, or I'm sticking with X-plane Angry

Hopefully that is totally a "rumor".  If it is true........ it would be the "death" of the Microsoft Flight Simulator series and the birth of the new Microsoft Flight Game.

It is a "sensationalist" type idea.  unless someone from Microsoft is directly sources and the news is confirmed......... it is just heresay.

It is likely a reaction to what has been leaked so far on the upcoming sim......... which is looking VERY "game-y" in many aspects.  Serious simmers are really worried about what direction Microsoft is taking now.

1. Please check your spelling.
2. What site are you talking about? Please show us this site so that we can confirm it. If it's a forum like ours then the rumor may not be true anyways.

If that were the case, then they would have started that with FS2002. They delayed the release date due to 9/11 and the involvement with the twin towers. If they were that concerned with it, they would have done the .cfg part along with that.

Can you say you have flown a 777 in real life? Smiley They will never be perfect. If they did mod it for FS8, we would have heard about it. Even if they did for FSX, it's easy to change it! Don't wet your pants, folks. Roll Eyes

...and have you used FSX yet?

How exactly do you make a non-professional flight simulator unrealistic anyway - reverse all the controls? A large proportion of its users wouldn't know the difference anyway...

well, if they are really that unrealistic, then we'll just have to ask some good 3rd party designers to fix 'em up Grin

As long as the FDEs aren't arcade-like, its fine by me! I like the flight dynamics as they are. Easy for a beginner, on low realism, but can also be challenging when realism is increased.
