ok,  well first off I know the video was taken while it was still in progress.

Watch this video,

Now go to 1:05-1:06

just those one seconds of video...yep thats it...

Look at the elephant closest to the camera and the one on the far, far left.

If you watch it, it is walking straight then magically "Falls" a few feet....without stumbling or anything....just slowly falls....

its verry quick so you have to go back and fourth verry fast....or watch it in Slo-mo....

Undecided

Wow congratulations! You found a glitch of a game that is still pre-alpha, wow! Welldone!  Roll Eyes

Incase you don't know, that version of fsX is pre alpha; barely completed and hasn't entered testing.

Well, try Windows Vista beta, Windows Media player 11, or Windows Live messenger beta and tell me if they're buggy.
I havn't even had one problem with any of  them.

Also, you are aware that Flightsimulator is developed by the ACES team? There products are mostly bug free by release, and again, that video is a pre alpha build of the game; which is running remarkably good for a Radeon X850XT.

Why are some people forgetting that it's the development team [ACE] who write the program for FS and not the corporate execs who run the company? The execs rely on the development team to create better and more realistic games so that the money flows in more.

ACES is just the name for the Microsoft team that developes the sim.

I cant believe you watched the video enough to spot that, go back to flying the current sim!

I wouldn't first off, say it was a glitch. Just because it looks aparent that something is not normal doesn't mean that it's a glitch. Far as I would say, looks like that elephant fell in a sink hole or some sort of scenery elemant. Rocks, hills, terrain all play a role in having issues or glitches.. But in this case, it should be looked at as a preview and not something you can right away judge from. Oh... and even though you think this is a glitch it can be easly fixed with a patch, or if you really don't have nothing on your hands, you can make note of this to M$ to let them know. Wink Grin

Excellent answer. Wink  On that new FS site,
http://www.piczo.com/xflightx?g=23283503&cr=1
there is a screen of an extra 300s flying upside-down and it looks like its stuck in the ground.  Just poor graphics issues.  (not saying the graphics are poor, just taht a scrnsht is different from a moving scene)

In my opinion, I think they may have put it in for all the bush flyers out there. I don't know. Maybe it's because no one has ever bothered to make an elephant for a flying sim. Grin

I think it's just silly, no wait, it's just GAY, to be wasting time and resources adding large land mammals into a flight simulator to add "realism".  If you want to add more realism, I can give you a very long list of things that would add much more realism to FSX than some stupid elephants trecking across the African safari.

This is visual realism, it is exactely the same as those groups of birds above the jungle. Adding them is better than not adding anything and keeping those infinite desert dead lands that we have currently in FS9. On the same purpose, one would also wonder why we would need AI airplanes anyway, as well as mountains or trees and buildings in the cities, since we are all here only to keep our eyes on those horrible 2D cockpits gauges (yeah you know, 3D cockpit are useless as well, just like the exterior view)

You don't appreciate that, right well you'll be happy to learn that you will be able to disable sperately from the other AI stuff.

Personnally I am quite happy that the virtual world I will be flying into is finally gaining some life. And I cant wait to see what the 3rd party devs will do out of this new feature Smiley

"gay"?
Nice use of words  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Also, the animals were imported off another game, and probably scattered around the place. Nothing wrong with that, and probably didn't even take long.

So I guess cars and race tracks, boats and trains were waste of time as well, huh? Then I guess it's also a waste of time for the addon developers of Orbiter to develope helis and planes for a sim that's centered around floating in space. Undecided

By the way, this is a family forum. Becareful on how you use the word "gay".
