Welcome to the next SimV Airshow Announcement!!

We need to know what you'll be flying. Please state what you're flying AND post a link for others to be able to see you! Preferably, the files should have small sizes for dial-up users, and it would be better if the models were AI - better on framerates.

Next announcement coming soon!

Just in case I am able to make it after all, if you could please get the F15 at this link from AVSIM I'd be grateful.

http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=41161

I'll be flying a larger filesize CORAL F15 really but that at least gives you a smaller download and I'll load it before i go to the bigger file so you see me as this one Smiley

Spectating with my Chevy. 8)

In real life at Kendall Tamiami Executive Airport the owners of the "Wings Over Miami" museum would host a Corvette show along with the vintage air show. It was sweet! Everything from the Stingrays to the Z06 parked up next to a Catalina Flying Boat. 8)

y'know with that car your creating, we could do a plane/car race, from one line on the runway to the other. a nice twist in the show, no?

Someone said they wanted to fly a Lancaster at the airshow.  I've done a repaint of Dave Garwood's Lancaster in BBMF colours, I'll send it to SimV when it's been dirtied up but I'm not sure I'll have time to do it before next weekend.  So until then, the clean tidy version can be downloaded from here:

http://www.metaphor.karoo.net/lanc.zip

You'll still need Dave Garwood's Lancaster B.III, found here.

http://www.simviation.com/fs2002vintage12.htm

And if you actually want to fly it, you should get this upgrade:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004vintage23.htm

For the full experience, go to avsim and get "lncsnd1.zip" as well, it's a 10MB download but you can't beat the sound of four Merlins  Grin

That Albatross is available here on SimV (4.3MB) and would make a good opponent for the Camel.  Anyone who wants more paint schemes should get "albatross_pluspack.zip" from avsim, but I wouldn't recommend that for the airshow cos it's 53MB!

Im not going to be flying a duo with clipper Cry , so in spirit of my last Airshow display i am going to go with an unusual aircraft. I am currently modifying a C172 to make it to near mach 1 speeds. I am going to get a repaint done, maby a better panel and upload it to the V. And im going to hopefully showcase it at the airshow.  Grin

I did that last year, sort of  Grin

During a formation practice session, I was doing low passes with Concorde.  But nobody else had that Concorde installed so they just saw the default C172 zooming back and forth overhead at 100ft, doing Mach 2.

Would probably be better to leave the repaint, and just modify the config. That way, there'll be no need for extra downloading, as you'll still shoot across the sky at god knows what speed to everyone else!

So far, I've got this list:

Cspyro21 / Spitfire Mk.XIVe ]
Serpent_6 / Hurricane         ] = Are these 3 only together?
mictheslik / Lancaster          ]
Nemo & Charlie / Baron 58
Nemo / Vulcan
Clipper / Super Decathlon
gottoflynow / Citation X
Tweek / Chinook
cloud9flyer / Miniplane
HawkerTempest5 / (Hawker) Typhoon
Jakemaster / A default helicopter of some sort!
Ramos / Starship
Vulcan1 / A380
Heathaze / F15 (if available)
flyboy 28 / C152 (is this a display?)
Mictheslik / (Eurofighter) Typhoon
Dr.Goodfly / F-16
Theis / Camel
Ecko / AlphaJet
RhinoIL / F/A-18F (If available)
BAW0343 / C172

Tell me if any of these are incorrect, or whether they need updating. A few of these were a little unclear.

Do we have a venue yet or am I just not keeping up-to-date with things? Also, will there be a page with all the download links on like we had last time or do I need to find the links to stuff I don’t have from this thread?

Shame, that. Was looking forward to it. These timezone differences don't help, much.

I have you noted on the actual programme as a T-6, but without repaint. It would probably be more convenient if you flew one of the default paints, just to relieve the amount of downloading to be done.

And also if anyone would like to do the Texan flight (I'd be in the Texan II and you'd be in the old Texan) we could join up right after my display and do a few "Texan Passes" as there called. If you'd like to, PM me and I'll give you the details

Thanx
Andrew

Well hopefully you won't mind, I know the guys who fly the USAF Texan the default is an orange navy paint ( Tongue) and the file size is relatively small.
