Ooooooppppsssss.... Shocked....!

Just notices the Hop distance...370 NM....!
and speed recommendation...220+ knots...!

I don't think I've got anything in my default piston prop hangar which will safely cope with those sort of speeds over that sort of distance...  Shocked...!

My default Beech Baron 58D would be pushed to its absolute limit continuously...risking blowing the engines... Cry...!

A default turbo-prop may cope with it, but I'm not too fond of turbo-props...
Passenger Jets are a definite no-no... Angry...!
...and war-birds aren't exactly tourers... Wink...!

...so....!

I might have to go fishing today instead... Cry...!

Boo-Hoo... Cry...!

Paul...G-BPLF... 8)...!

Mornin' Serp... Grin...!

I thought we agreed, a little while ago, together with Crash, etc, that it may be a good idea to limit each hop distance to around 200 miles maximum.... Wink...!

This would allow for small default GA aeroplanes to complete the distance comfortably, travelling at sensible speeds, in under two hours... Grin...!

..otherwise we will find that some pilots will be switching planes to fast war-birds, etc, (as they do!), and the touring hop turns into a frantic air-race... Shocked...!!
...know what I mean...Wink...?

Paul...I like gentle Touring...not frenetic racing...Wink...!

P.S. Serp....have you had any luck with fitting the Bendix-King radio stack to your Cessna 182RG, yet...Wink...?

Paul...low and slow, easy peasy!...8)...!

I have to agree. Not only will it become a kind of race to the finish, it gets pretty boring too. Especially when the scenery is a desert like area with some hills as is Southern Europe. Now I also understand Jimbo in planning a long hop like this. He wants to leave the area as soon as possible and come back up north where there is more to see. So I guess it's one thing or the other. Although I also prefer the smaller hops (up to max 200 NM) somethings has to be done. In that light, work has also to be done tonight. So unfortunatly my friends again I am not able to join you tonight. Have a nice flight tonight and if you decide not to join have a great evening.

Dont use an autopilot.... I flew 350+ Miles in the default cessna 172 for 4 hours....... Boring? Not when your constantly trying to keep on course due to bad turbulence..... But it can be tedius, but if you have voice communications, and a tv or something to think about and day dream, it gets better, Cheers, Gunny

Not when it applies to reasonably sensible European Pilots during a sensible European tour with fellow sensible Multiplayer Pilots, flying sensibly, under sensible European flying conditions in a sensible/safe period of flight...Wink...!

...trust me... Wink...!

I understand that these hops are long and inconvienient. But if we do smaller hops, just imagine how long it would take to complete the tour.
But i have realised this, and therefore future hops will be shorter.

Sorry for any inconvienience Chaps.
