Last Saturday at the annual AOPA fly-in at Frederick Municipal airport (headquarters of AOPA), I ran into an developer from a certain payware company (I'll give you a hint: it starts with an "E" and ends with a "soft"), and we got talking about FSX. Apparently, he's a beta tester for FSX. I tried to pick his brain about what its like. On the topic of multiplayer, he used the word "revolutionary".  Wink

Then, he used that word to describe the entire sim.  Grin

The reason I'm not naming specific names is that I'm not sure if this developer wants to be pointed out as an FSX beta tester.  Wink

There was a post in the multiplayer forum, it seems hey have TOTALLY upgraded the mp, this is all i know:

Quote:
Through increased online gameplay capabilities, Flight Simulator X offers players a connected world where they can choose whom they want to be, from an air-traffic controller, pilot, or co-pilot as they interact with other aviators from around the globe by chatting in real time via headset and keyboard.

With all this they must have upgraded the MP ability. Looking forward to it  Grin

Yes, I'm really looking forward the  improved multiplayer.

In addition to the MP things that are now somewhat possible to a certian extent,  I envision some really new and exciting things.

For one thing, how about some reno/goodyear air races, etc. that all you haver to basically do is pic from a list of servers?
This would really broaden the fan base of FS and insure its continued developement.

Who among us can honestly say it would not be fun to enguage in some races with a few P-51s, GeeBees, etc. etc. Smiley

Home airports are KMGJ and KSWF in Orange County, NY&&Stop by and say hello. Smiley
