Anyone tell me why my landing gear is bouncing wildly. I have the aircraft below the grid in gmax 18.0 feet and my contact points set at a corresponding hieght of -18.1. There is at least 3 feet of travel on the nose gear and 2 feet on the main gear (compression 100-150-200). They were working fine but I had to make an adjustment to the fuselage because I built it with the nose slightly lower for a sloping pitch. At the time I did'nt realize I could control that in the CFG and Airfile. So when I raised the nose back to 0.0 it made everything unstable. What am I missing? Do I need to relink /reanimate/move the gear. Thanks Greg.

Maybe this will help:

For a fully loaded aircraft,  I use 75% of the animated compression as static compression.  Remember that in the cfg, this is stated in feet not meters.

Divide total animated by static to get the ratio.  Use .7 to 1.0 as your dampening.

THAT WAS IT!  8) Thanks a whole lot for the 40%nose gear and 70% main gear tip Milton. I just needed the mathmatical formula. Math is not one of my  stronger points. Now I'm ready for final flight testing and I can finaly get my Sim reference point where I need it in Gmax. Grin Thanks to everyone who helped me get wheels up on my first aircraft. Greg.
