All those suggestions are awful.

Spitfire II is just a abhorrance.

Lightning II also is pitiful. How can it ever live up to the EE Lightning?

Cyclone and Reaper. Better but still quite poor.

Instead of Black Mamber why don't they call it White Elephant? Grin

Reaper has to many religious overtones. The personification of Death as a living, sentient entity is a concept that has existed in all known societies since the beginnings of recorded history. Whilst there is no direct religious link with the Reaper, depending on your point of view there could be. "Death" takes you and then you are in the hands of God for what ever awaits you in the afterlife. In Islam, Death is portrayed as Azrael, the angel of death. In this day and age, with word play, the press, and people imaginations, too much of a link could be found between the two. In the eyes of some corners in the world, the aircraft would have been changed into an American right wing weapon of religion. Like it or not, that is the way some peoples minds work, at home and abroad. The last thing we need is the Reaper reaping in an Islamic country. Remember what a simple road traffic accident did last week. The tabloids would have a field day with word pun headlines that in the name of freedom and journalism manage to always inflame a situation, bringing The Sun to mind, at this point.

Just a thought

I found this funny.
Doesn't that mean technically the plymouth fury could be an infringment on the sea fury?
Shows what a sad world we live in, when an everyday word used by everyone can be copyrighted to a product.

I think it's a bit of overreaction - I never saw any lawsuits when Ford marketed the Laser (rebadged Mazda 323) in the same market the Plymouth Laser was being sold....

You too "Charlie", you may have stepped on the product name used by a few drug barons. At least a cat food producer will not come after you with a big gun if you upset them  Grin Grin

I think you have it wrong.   I should sue the creators of Felix the Cat, since the name's been in my family for generations - at least dating back to a Pope (ca.274 AD)

I'm late to this thread, but if she ever flies with the RAAF, it should be named the Kangaroo for its VTOL capabilities. Cause kangaroos can jump and whatnot. Smiley
