I found out today that I'm going, apparently theres going to be an Easyjet A319 thats brand new! plus the usual stuff (spits, tornado's, Eurofighter)

Just wandering if there was anyone else going, if so, what should I look out for?

I shall be there on the Saturday, weather permitting. Look for a scruffy old grey white-haired git with glasses & a camera slung round his scrawny neck. Wink

where exactly is Biggin Hill, in relation to coventry?
if its more than an hors drive away then probably not.

i might be able to get my dad to take me down for a while, would mean a lot of work over the next few days to make up for it though

cheers

It's about 2 hours 40 minutes drive from Coventry according to the AA. I find they're usually pretty accurate. http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/planner_main.jsp

...

There should be something a lot closer in the next few weeks. http://aeroflt.users.netlink.co.uk/shows/showdate.htm

i asked my dad about 20 mins ago, when he got home from work, and he said that there is a very famous airshow at biggin hill, and he said that it was about an hour away, God knows how fast he'll have to drive.

oh well, there may be a chance i could get there, but i highly doubt it now.

cheers

The police may have something to say about that. Worth a trip if you can go - if not the Cosford and Duxford are closer bets for the coming year...

Too far for me too this weekend

well, im HOPING, i have no idea yet, but i would like to be able to get to Kemble, Cosford and its pretty much definate that i'll be going to Fairford, as long as i dont do something horribly bad, but Biggin Hill is a no-go sadly

Well, I've been nagging my dad for the last week, and today he bought Train tickets. (I live in bristol). I'm also going to Fairford and Farnborough this year, making 3, the most in 1 year ever for me!

farnbourough will be a slight possibility, but living near coventry, it is a good 2 hours drive with the traffic on the day, so it probably wont happen, but fairford is the only definate

I think I may head over that way this weekend, it's a fairly standard flight line up but Biggin Hill is allways nice.

That's a fair old trip but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Cosford isn't too far from Coventry. Not sure if Air Atlantique is having an open day at Baginton this year. If you can't make Kemble this might interest you. Wellesbourne is near Stratford, just a few miles from you. http://www.wellesbourneairfield.com/newsandevents.htm

Farnborough is an ok show, but nothing spectacular these days. Cosford certainly going to, old warden sometime this year. Kemble maybe, Yeovil if I can be bothered as its early this year, and Fairford if I can afford it. i only got half a tank of gas for £20 today and it wasn't even empty to start with. Cry

That's a thought, Yeovilton, only about an hour away! The trip to Biggin hill isn't that far from Bristol for a day trip, I've been to York and back in a day many-a-time, That was a total of just over 8 hours on a train in one day!

Biggin Hill and Yeovilton are both shows I'd love to attend and write a piece forbut sadly they are both way too far from up here.
