Also, when using the boolean function, it really helps to have all your templates attached to each other (one object), instead of being different parts.  This will prevent the part from fracturing into unneeded polys.

funny i figure out way like this about a day after i ask a question, usually by the time someone answers  Roll Eyes

Now im wodering if I should loft the canopy frame  ???

And how do i convert it so i can see what i did to FS9

Converting is covered in this thread.  It was written for FS2002, but works fine for ACOF.

As a little addendum, I would recommend that you go out and get MDLCommander and Middleman which will both aid in the ease of creation.  They are both small programs which interact with the main MakeMDL that is supplied by Microsoft.  Make sure you follow the instructions for MakeMDL installation EXACTLY, as it is a finicky program that will only work when everything is installed correctly.

There is a long way for you to go, but the end result is worth it . . .

i thought it was out of my leage, but i took the tutorial that comes with Gmax, and now im hooked Grin

I have FS2002PE, which is supposed to have gmax in it. I never found it...

Check the first and last CDs. It should be listed under the "extras" folder.

If you still can't find it, then go to www.turbosquid.com and download it there. Just remember two things:

1. FS2002PE only has the older version
2. Turbosquid has the newer version but requires a free account.
