I have been flying the PBY that I downloaded from www.vf15-flyingaces.com. Great plane once I reread the instructions and found it needed wep to make a water takeoff. Also increased pitch stability by 4 to make it feel like a "heavy" to me. But when I try to drop bombs, they disappear instantly, never to be seen again with no impacts on the ground at all. Am I missing something? Never had another plane do this. Tried changing to different bombs but got the same result. One more question: Did the PBY carry its bombs internally as in this model? Seems to me the hull has to be watertight with the bombs maybe on wing mounts. So far I haven't found a photo of a PBY with wing mounts but I still have about 20 episodes of "Victory At Sea" to review.

It's most likely an early CFS2 model. Try patching the MDL file with the MDL Converter tool. http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs2/articles_SDK_mdlconverter.asp

Offensive armament was almost certainly carried on external wing racks. I found a photo of a model PBY fitted with torpedoes here. http://hsfeatures.com/features04/pby5abc_1.htm

Tried it an no go. Get a notice that the program is unable to convert the model. Too bad because it is otherwise a very nice model and I had already moved the weapons points to where the article pictured. This one is beyond me. I'm going in search of another PBY for now.

Jimski remember that you need to delete the CDP file inside your Aircraft folder to enable your new weapon to function properly.

Do not worry about deleting it since CFS2 will automaticaly reproduce a new one.

CDP file recalls the last setting of your Aircraft and makes sure that your Aircraft functions well with your settings for that Aircraft.

It replicates every time you fly with that Aircraft. But if you do not delete it it will only recall the last setting for that plane.

I hope I have been able to help you.
