Wwell after playing around for about five minutes in GMAX i decided to make something. Nothing special, just something easy. So, I decided to create a little city.
It's not great but it's something...I think it's pretty nice considering i never went thru the tutorials(didn't have a choice
)
So There is my first little GMAX creation!!!
Also two questions to go along with this thread,
1) Where can I find some tutorials for GMAX?
2) How can i turn one of my creations into a aircraft?
Thanks for looking,

Just remember that the gmax help files and tutorials are separate installs (gmax 1.2, help and tutorials are in FS2004 disc 1 "extras".)

The stupid idiots guide to gmax is a good tutorial but I'm not sure if its applicable for FS2004. I'm sure though that there is some of it that is and it has some good modeling info. You can find it here at Sim V under tutorials then by clicking on gmax tutorials at Simviation.
(AN ODE TO GMAX) OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH GMAX! How I sometimes want to hug and kiss it. And other times want to smash, berate, and delete it. Gmax how I love and loathe thee. The crashes the errors the reinstalls. Gmax you are the whomb of my aircraft design. Oh Gmax my designing creating temptress. It must be love for you have taken my heartdrive. By Greg Ebnit

Whether a particular tutorial is or is not applicable to FS2004 is immaterial. The SIGtoGmax is still a very useful tutorial to using gmax for flightsim modelling.

The Stupid Idiot's Guide to Gmax (SIGtoGmax as Felix put it) is a guide that was created specifically for FS2k2 and will give you the basic ideas for creating for any sim or game. It just shows you around the program and familiarizes you with the basic controls and manipulators. You can find it here:
Stupid Idiot's Guide to gMax
I've been working with Gmax for 3 years, now, and am still learning all kinds of things. Modelling is a process, and you will continue to learn things about it as long as you work at it.

The Gmax Help/Turorials are useful
That is an amazing feat
to create all those objects in Gmax objects "after playing around for about five minutes in GMAX."
I'm ceratinly impressed with your speed and ability - WOW!
Just think what you could have accomplished in ten-minutes.
P.S. How do they look in FS9 with textures?
I'm looking for small-town object(s) (entire small-towns) to place in my FS9 sceneries and if you upload some of these (with textures) with lower buildings they would work well for me. Thnx.
