hey guys

I wanna get into building my own cockpit nice and slow.. so I want to know since I only have 1 monitor at the moment.. I want to know if I can put some of the add on programs on to lets say my laptop so I can have the FMC, the radio shack, or PFD or NAV ect. and fly out of the VC instead.. how do I set it up. do I need fs on both machines, a registered version of fsuicp and widefs on both machines. that sort of thing.. please help me..

someone should make a : "how to build and set up your own cockpit for dummies" book Cheesy that would be awesome.. hehe hope to get some help.. maybe one day I'll be able to invite John over for a trip in what hopefully will become a very awesome 747-400 Cheesy Cheesy

John you are my GOD!!

Best

Krazyj,

See this thread for some info that hopefully will help:

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=homebuild;action=display;n...

If you look through the entire series of postings I have done on my cockpit construction (huge amount of info) you will find a sort of "tutorial" about building / hooking up a lot of stuff.  That is what I am trying to document here.  For example, look at this thread for some switch wiring schematic expalnations:

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=homebuild;action=display;n...

BTW In the first 4 or 5 threads, some of the early image files have reached the end of their "SimV time limit" for purging... so I will be uploading tham again someday soon.

best,
