Pretty slick simpit using mainly displays.  The out-the-window four 19" TFT monitor effect is great.

best,

wow, I would have used a 2x seamless duel screen or  2x very widescreen for the 4 central screens though.  having a screen border in the middle gives me migranes Tongue

Hi John,

nice to see that things haven't changed here, everyone still has that big ? next to the question of sanity.

Can't say I agree with "kipman725" I think most A/C have frames around the windows don't they ?

O.K. maybe the front screens could be a tad wider, but it would work for me just as it is.

Really nice doesnt look that expensive either I could defently live with that.. if I included a fmc and en eicas screen.. benefit here is of course that you dont limit yourself to one aircraft like you would if you had the whole cockpit.. must be a bummer wakeing up someday thinking dang it I should have built a 747 instead of a 340 Sad  but oh well this is defently nice

KrazyJ,

That is exactly one of the big reasons why I went with a more "generic" layout for my simpit.  While it is based a bit on the BAe 146-200....... it really is "my" aircraft.  Could be any 4 engine jet or prop plane.

But when I am flyiong something like a Cessna 172........ the overhead and center pedestal is a little "wierd"  Wink.

In the link, I like the concept of the screens to vary all of the panels.  While it looks a little "wierd"........ it isn't all that far off current full glass cockpits.

best,
