I need a more powerful single engine turbo-prop sound. Most aircraft with this type engine such as the Pilatus and Embraer use the dafault C182 sound. Know of any I can download?

Download the "b58tc.zip" from AvSim - A Turbo Baron with (IMHO) the best turboprop sound. Then all you have to do is copy and paste the sound files, or just fly the Turbo Baron (flies well) Smiley

First time I logged on AVSim. I'm used to the Simviation way of organization. Thus I was unable to find the aircraft file. A little bit more direction perhaps?

Thanks.

Okay, AVSim main page:

Click on "File Library" in the upper-lefthand corner.

If need be, this is where you login.  If you are already, you get a search section.  Under the entry box for the main search, there is a very wide button marked "Extended Search".  Click this.

Five new entry boxes will come up.  In the third one (labled "Filename") enter the filename -- in this case, b58tc.zip.  Now hit enter.  If the filename is correct, you will get this:

Baron 58TC Turbo Normalized

Thanks locke. Did as instructed and the sound effect was great. The aircraft looks like it has two turbo-charged piston engines. Do you have any sound effects that pertain to prop jets, preferrably single engined?

Also, I have not done any downloads from AvSim nor any other fltsim websites except Simviation so could you go through with steps please?

Most sites have their own setup for downloading stuff, you just have to find the right areas and info.  Try looking for "Download Section" or "Downloads", then just follow likely links until you get what you're looking for.

Flightsim.com is a little screwy about downloads, but with a little patience you can find what you're looking for.  But sometimes it isn't even worth the effort.  For awhile now, its nickname has been "nonodes", as half the time, you get a message saying you can't log in because its so full.

AVSim is always a good place to go for downloads.  They have all sorts of stuff, even for the very old versions of FS (FS5, etc).  But I don't like their forums.  I much prefer the ones on SimV.

SimV is a very friendly place, with easy access to the files you're looking for, and if you're dilligent enough, you can find most of what's on AVSim here.

EDIT:

If found what you're looking for.

Cessna 182RG Sounds

It's designed for a retractable gear, but should work fine with fixed gear.
