I think those absolute top scorers found a way round the test so only one of the seven were actually performed. Notice how only one of the tests actually took any physical time at all for them. Tongue

Alot of that test has to do with the browser itself...

Ya, I think this has very little to do with your hardware, its just how fast is your connection, and your browser.

It does have to do with hardware but connection speed and browser type is a definite influence because the java script must be loaded and run for each leg of the test. If they were to provide a local application with the results uploaded it would be a better test since it would then provide a linear and equal base for anaylsis.

Its actually browser more than connection

Also, pop-up blockers, antivirus, spybot's and other background apps must be haulted

....and PS:
Spybots has been compromised by hackers recently. I got that information from an excellent source so I would get rid of it ASAP.

Edit: The test seems to take into account load times and disregard them, I'm on a distant 512k adsl connection.

And look who we find right there beside me in the top Pic, none other than our own Brett Henderson, who I just helped with his overclock. Nice going Brett!

BTW.... your CPU says 2.2ghz Brett?

I found a nice comfort zone with the CPU at 2.39 (I believe the selection range on that test was 2.2-2.4.. so that's what I selected) and the RAM  VERY tight (It gave me the best fps in DODsource/ temp/stability).

I know you told me that RAM bandwidth is ample and it's probably just me,, But tightening the RAM and running the CPU at 2.39 gives me my best , all-around results (and the CPU temp never gets above 45c).

I cranked it up.. just for fun and got 5.49 under the name "Boob"   Roll Eyes

No, it's not that hot, my cpu just refuses to remain stable as I go through 3ghz. I figured it needs chilling, but I could be wrong. Maybe I need more Vcore. I pushed it as far as 1.58v and it didn't help get through the 3ghz barrier.

Ya I had the same problem with 4Ghz. You need more v Core, and more chilling on both your nBridge, and your CPU to get through the +1Ghz barrier.

Actually.. that was a quicky running stock speed with no tweaks and all processes and background programs running.

If I were to unleash the full power of the beast I am sure I could shave a second or two off that time.

My score is 7.75 with Firefox 1.5.0.3 and 20.41 with IE 6.0.2.9!!

The machine is a Dell Dimension 8300 3.2Ghz/HT
The OS is Windows XP Pro SP2

Netscape 8.1 is even worse; won't even open test 2 and locks up   Angry

Dutch users might also want to check http://www.speedtest.nl/testsuite/testcontroller.asp
It's not for testing your browser but to see how fast your Internet connection is  Smiley

Yes, you have an incredibly fast PC (or so your post says) for someone who keeps asking the most basic questions about them........  Roll Eyes  Tongue  Shocked

So you just aquired your beast of a PC without knowing about them and kick arse over just about everyone in the world with it and you don't know what's going on....... is that it or did I miss something?

He boots in 5 seconds.

His stated system is good but I would not call it 'incredibly' fast.

I question the integrity of the numbers he spews in general. It has a "shell" of fishyness to it.
