Alot of that test has to do with the browser itself...

Ya, I think this has very little to do with your hardware, its just how fast is your connection, and your browser.

It does have to do with hardware but connection speed and browser type is a definite influence because the java script must be loaded and run for each leg of the test. If they were to provide a local application with the results uploaded it would be a better test since it would then provide a linear and equal base for anaylsis.

Its actually browser more than connection

Also, pop-up blockers, antivirus, spybot's and other background apps must be haulted

....and PS:
Spybots has been compromised by hackers recently. I got that information from an excellent source so I would get rid of it ASAP.

I ran the test at my gaming overclock (2.86ghz) without touching anything else.

6.41

Second Place with IE.

YAY!   Cheesy

...

I got 8 seconds at stock clocks.

Third run.......Took out first place in IE6 division.

YES!  Grin

...

As if I needed encouragement.....

Doin' a dance, Doin' a dance! Runnin' around watchin' me prance!

Who da rappa now !

Edit: The test seems to take into account load times and disregard them, I'm on a distant 512k adsl connection.

And look who we find right there beside me in the top Pic, none other than our own Brett Henderson, who I just helped with his overclock. Nice going Brett!

BTW.... your CPU says 2.2ghz Brett?

I found a nice comfort zone with the CPU at 2.39 (I believe the selection range on that test was 2.2-2.4.. so that's what I selected) and the RAM  VERY tight (It gave me the best fps in DODsource/ temp/stability).

I know you told me that RAM bandwidth is ample and it's probably just me,, But tightening the RAM and running the CPU at 2.39 gives me my best , all-around results (and the CPU temp never gets above 45c).

I cranked it up.. just for fun and got 5.49 under the name "Boob"   Roll Eyes

On the good PC, running Opera...
