Hello everybody.

My name is Alex and I have been playing fs2004 for about 2 years now. One thing that i noticed is that I am unable to find a gauge that has a real working NEXRAD or Doppler radar that also shows your aircrafts position to the storm cells or rain. I know that there is a kneeboard addon (that i have) that can log onto the web and go to a website to look at the weather. But i am looking for something more like the GPS system, where it isn't attatched to the kneeboard and has easy show/hide controls. Once again, I want a gauge that is a real working weather radar with your planes position also on the map. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot.  Grin

Hi there - welcome.

As far as I know, there are some weather radar gauges included in a couple of payware packages but I don't think there's any freeware weather gauges out there.

Any gauge developes listening?  Wink

I have been waiting for something like that since ages......and ofcourse would prefer freeware.

I second Microlight by saying that there are payware aircrafts which have them inbuilt (if i remember).

Lets just hope FSX has it Wink.

Though I haven't tried looking myself, I understand from reading other posts that most freeware gauges just show any weather, no THE weather in your area; someone else will probably know more though.

I am having a problem with it now, It works fine in the C172, but when I put the panel CFG code into another plane the gauge will come up and I can turn all of the switches, but it doesnt light up and the radar doesnt light up or do anything ???

The manual clearly states that you need two entries in panel.cfg

Put the main gauge anywhere you want, but remember to place the 'logic' gauge (which is an invisible gauge) in a VirtualCockpit section, as it needs to be 'visible' for the display gauge all the time.

I have WeatherBug, and I dont believe it is a gauge. Its a standalone program(has nothing to do with FS) and can tell you the weather anywhere along with forcasts ect.
