I think this is the right forum for this.  How would I go about adding reverse thrust to my Catalina?  Do I absolutely HAVE to have turboprops?  Or can I just install reversible thrust props?  How would I do this in FS9?

Any help or comments would be welcome...

If you have normal piston engines then you'll need to set reverse in the propeller section of he aircraft.cfg file

[propeller]
prop_reverse_available= 1     //Prop reverse available? 0=FALSE, 1=TRUE

Regards

Jim

PS glad to see you got the auto-throttle working

Once you've got this compiled can you upload as an update.  If it's freeware (like Mike Sonte's) can you update the whole thing. Lookin good Grin

Thanks Jim, I'll try it out soon and let you know.  LOL, maybe I'll quit posting questions and just email you!  Smiley

Once I get done tweaking my Catalina, I'll see if I can post the relevant files.  I'm modifying Mike Stones PBY.  I'll see if he'll let me post the whole thing or not....

OK, I guess I have it it, I just can't figure how to actuate it!  LOL  Is there a specific command?  Such as:

1- Throttle Down
2- Reverse Thrust
3- Throttle Up

Or is it something diferent?

Or (upon touchdown) hold down F2.  I would recomend that, as its analogous to the thrust increase (F4) and thrust decrease (F2).
