Right now I'm going through each part of my aircraft (nearly 200 objects in the exterior alone! Shocked) and adding "_LOD_400" to each one.  This is incredibly time consuming, and I still have to do it for a whole crapload of other LODs to make it work! Tongue

Does anyone know of a faster way to do this?  There has got to be one, as I really doubt all you designers out there are just doing what I'm doing.  It's infuriating!

Perhaps there is some MakeMDL trick for this, or a MaxScript for it?  Or maybe I'm going about this all wrong . . .

What do ya'll think?  Please, anything is usefull, here . . .

Only your topnode dummy needs the LOD tag.
Say you have a dummy "myaircraft_LOD_100" next link the fuselage to it (which should have all other parts below it in the hierarchy) and you're done.

Thank you, sir!  Now all I need to figure out is how to make LODs! Tongue Grin
