Wondering if anyone here knows of a good hotel with great airport views in the US? I want to plan a weekend trip where I can just sit in my hotel room, sip some wine(or beer) and watch the heavies day and night.

Unfortunately, if you just call a hotel near an airport and request a room with views of the runways, it may cause alarm... Roll Eyes
But maybe you could find a floor layout of a hotel online and figure it out...

i would say if you want a weekend trip, try booking a flight to St Maarten and stay at a hotel there and spend the weekend on Maho Beach.  Ive wanted to do that for a long time, it seems like a perfect place to planespot.

yeah, thats what I was afraid of, calling a hotel and asking that question. As far as St. Maarten, I agree thats the ultimate vacation, but funds dont really provide for that at the moment. I work  for a big hotel company, and get unbelievable discounts at nice hotels, so that was going to help me out a lot. Thanks guys.

How about the Philadelphia Airport Marriott?  It over looks the airport.

Sure you can, the Renny in ATL caters to "spotters".

That "Renny" seems to be a great spot, thanks! I work for Hilton Hotels, that includes the Hilton, Embassy, Conrad, Hampton and Homewood hotels. But that Rennassaince is reasonable, so if Hilton doesnt have anything remotely close to that, I would definitely stay there. Thanks Citationpilot.
